Five years ago--this 20th of December--I lost my mate, the love of my life...my soul. As she was driving home to be with her family and relatives. Her car was hit by a drunk driver coming off a freeway in LA. The car was totaled and rolled several times; her parents, baby sister and herself were killed.
This is why the 20th is the date I pick for this. If at some time on the 20th, you could take some time out of your busy holiday schedule, maybe just a moment or two, to stop and give a moment in remembrance for those who've lost their lives in car accident and are not blessed enough to be spending the holidays with their loved ones. I also ask that you keep in mind those that are not able to be with their families this holiday season for other reasons--be it illness, lack of transportation or duty. A moment of silence, lighting of a candle, prayer--if that is your way. It doesn't have to be time consuming--maybe while you're at a stoplight--just...something.
I know I have no right in asking this of any of you, intruding in your holiday, time with friends and family; but I feel that it's needed, must be done, for those that it affects. So please, just a moment, a thought, a prayer, a gesture. And maybe even ask the people you know as well; post this on or something.
Thank you for, at the very least, taking the time to read this.
Fare thee well, keep thyself and thy kin shielded from harm and be merry.

Take care and may your holiday still have light
My old public school friend recently lost his father... I've been thinking about him a lot. I'm thinking of you too, 'kay? :3

Never cross a Dragon, for thou art crunchy and good with ketchup.

You know you're a Dragon when you think of the knight in shining armor as canned food.
I hope that you can have a pleasant Christmas. *hug*
